EMSystems announced it has merged with Global Secure Systems to combine their emergency preparedness and response products. Terms of the deal, which closed last week, were not disclosed, according to an EMSystems spokesman.
Milwaukee-based EMSystems said the integration of Austin, Texas-based Global Secures health alert network and volunteer mobilizer products will create more functionality in the EMSystems product suite. The full system includes applications for alerting and notifying people, collaborating, evacuating hospitals, tracking patients, and managing data, hospital and human resources.
The combined product is expected to be used by more than 4,000 healthcare providers, according to an EMSystems news release.
