Terika Richardson was named COO and Sean Thomson was named CFO of Spotsylvania (Va.) Regional Medical Center, an HCA hospital under construction. Richardson, 31, was associate administrator at HCAs Reston (Va.) Hospital Center and was named a Modern Healthcare Up & Comer in 2007. Her appointment was effective Oct. 1, according to an HCA statement. Thomson, 38, was CFO of HCAs Retreat Hospital, Richmond, Va., and his appointment became effective Sept. 1. Nancy Kremer announced she will resign as president and CEO of St. Luke Hospitals in northern Kentucky when a planned merger with Covington, Ky.-based St. Elizabeth Medical Center closes, which is expected in coming months. A spokeswoman said she could not provide Kremers age. St. Luke has struggled for more than two years to pull out of the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati and in September reached a memorandum of understanding that should end the legal dispute and allow the merger with St. Elizabeth.
