With all the hoopla at the Democratic National Convention starting today, will there be room for healthcare information technology? Yes, at least in one of the back rooms. According to Emdeon Business Services, Nashville, a provider of claims clearinghouse, provider revenue-cycle management and payer claims-handling systems, Emdeon will join Cerner Corp., Intel Corp., and AT&T in sponsoring a VIP reception as part of a health policy forum on the future of healthcare.
Miriam Paramore, vice president of Emdeon Business Services, will make the opening remarks at the reception, according to a company statement.
