Gov. Martin OMalley signed a bill to expand medical coverage to more than 100,000 uninsured Marylanders and encourage eligible families to enroll in the expanded program. The program, the Working Families and Small Business Coverage Act, expands Medicaid coverage for parents with incomes up to $20,500 for a family of three, 116% of the poverty level and adds services under the program. It also creates a program to allow small businesses to buy coverage through a state pool at lower costs.
