North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System named Kenneth Abrams to the newly created job of senior vice president of clinical operations. Abrams joined North Shore-LIJ from AtlantiCare Health System, Egg Harbor Township, N.J., where he was the patient-safety officer and chairman of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine.
Abrams, 47, was also named associate chief medical officer and will oversee the 13-hospital systems quality and patient-safety initiatives. Abrams, a physician, also earned a masters in business administration from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College in New York. -- by Melanie Evans
