Regarding the article R.I. establishes patient-safety organization:
I am commenting on the article that describes a new program in Rhode Island that reviews possible medical errors that have been reported by hospitals, providers or payers. Where is the patient in this? What about the patient who knows or believes that a medical error in their care has taken place. Does the patient not have a direct agency such as this to report to for assistance with having it reviewed? The problem with some groups like this is that they leave the patient out of it, and the patient needs to be totally involved.
