The former medical office staff manager at 194-bed Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, Pa., is charged with embezzling more than $98,000.
Johnstown police said that 47-year-old Mark Foltz, of Upper Yoder Township, Pa., told them he had gambling and family problems and took about $50,000. But police said that an audit found nearly twice that much missing. Police allege that Foltz took the money between January 2004 and November 2007 by forging the names of doctors on checks made out to himself. Foltz is also accused of using a corporate credit card to buy things for himself.
Foltz said he doesnt want to comment on the charges. -- by the Associated Press
