Jeffrey Johnson, a senior vice president with Shore Health System in Easton, Md., has been named president and chief executive officer of Chester River Health System in Chestertown, Md. He officially starts his new post on July 1, the same day that Chester River becomes part of the larger University of Maryland Medical System, based in Baltimore.
Johnson, 50, succeeds William Kirk Jr., who is retiring after 28 years.
