Virtual Radiologic Corp., named David Schlotterbeck, chief executive officer of Cardinal Health clinical and medical products, as a director. The appointment increased the Minnetonka, Minn.-based teleradiology companys board to seven. Schlotterbeck, whose age was not available at deadline, will receive an annual fee of $35,000 and a nonincentive option grant to purchase up to 30,00 shares of common stock, which vest over a three-year period, according to the companys most recent proxy statement. Schlotterbeck, who is also vice chairman of Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal Health, was previously president and CEO of Alaris Medical Systems, which Cardinal Health acquired in 2004.
