Passport Health Communications has bolstered its revenue-cycle management business by acquiring Nebo Systems, Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.
The Franklin, Tenn.-based Passport, a health information technology company, will add Nebos claims-management and scripting services as well as other integrated tools to its administrative and financial-solutions products. Terms of the deal, which closed in early May, were not disclosed, Passport said in a news release.
Last year the company refinanced $11 million to fuel its growth opportunities, including acquisitions. The company works with more than 1,500 hospitals and 2,800 physician clinics and outpatient centers in the U.S. Nebos client base of about 2,500 are primarily in Illinois.
