The Nashville Health Care Council named Caroline Young as its president. Young, 33, succeeds Matthew Gallivan, who left the council recently to join Community Health Systems, Franklin, Tenn., as vice president of government relations; she had served as interim president after Gallivans departure.
Young joined the council in 2004 as its vice president and as executive director of its under-40 group, now known as Leadership Health Care. Young was a principal in the healthcare practice of the Ingram Group, a public affairs and government relations firm based in Nashville.
Young also was the founding executive director of the Tennessee Biotechnology Association, and director of communications and advertising for the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. -- by Vince Galloro
