John Wilhoite has been named chief financial officer and treasurer of Emageon, Birmingham, Ala., a developer of healthcare information technology systems for medical specialties such as radiology and cardiology for use in hospitals, integrated delivery systems and imaging facilities.
Wilhoite, 56, has served as vice president of finance and controller at Emageon since March 2006. He was named corporate secretary in early 2007. Wilhoite will assume his new duties effective March 31 and replaces Randy Pittman, who is leaving the company. Wilhoite has a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee and worked for 12 years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
