Exigence Group, a Williamsville, N.Y.-based clinical staffing and management company, has named Mark Celmer to the new position of president of Exigence North America.
Celmer, 55, will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Exigence North Americas 26 subsidiaries, including: Buffalo Emergency Associates, WNY Immediate Care, Pulse Occupational Medicine, Exigence Emergency Medical Services and the Exigence Hospitalist program.
Most recently, Celmer was the president and chief executive officer of Multisorb Technologies International of West Seneca, N.Y. He was with the company, which has $60 million in annual sales and more than 400 employees, from 2000 to 2007. Previously, Celmer was president and CEO of both DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda, N.Y. and the WCA Healthcare System in Jamestown, N.Y. He also serves on the boards of Roswell Park Cancer Institute, INSYTE Consulting and the Erie County Industrial Development Agency. While at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, Celmer won the American College of Healthcare Executives Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award for Young Healthcare Executive in 1986. -- by Andis Robeznieks
