The National Quality Forum is seeking surgical-care and stroke-management measures for its voluntary consensus standards program.
Participants are asked to submit facility-level performance measures to evaluate clinical, systems and care-coordination aspects of surgical care. The measures should include process measures that indicate a proven relationship to surgical-care outcomes.
For stroke management, the NQF hopes to identify and endorse process and outcome measures that particularly indicate the ability of a hospital to coordinate care internally and externally across facilities.
Electronic submissions for both programs are due by noon EST on March 10. -- by Jean DerGurahian
