Jewish Hospital & St. Marys HealthCare, Louisville, Ky., has named Martin Bonick president and chief executive officer of the 442-bed Jewish Hospital Medical Campus and vice president of the health system, following an 11-month search for a replacement. Hell take control Feb. 18, the health system said.
Bonick, 34, replaces Timothy Jarm, a Modern Healthcare Up and Comer, who resigned in March 2007. Bonick most recently was CEO of Oklahoma State University Medical Center, Tulsa, the 304-bed academic hospital affiliated with OSU Center for Health Sciences.
He also has served as the chief operating officer of the medical center, which is part of the Hillcrest HealthCare System. Bonick sits on the board of the Ronald McDonald House in Tulsa. -- by Jean DerGurahian
