Seattle Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center said it has hired two new IT executives who are leaving posts with Scripps Health, San Diego. Drexel DeFord, 44, will be the pediatric hospital's senior vice president/chief information officer and Wes Wright, 44, will be vice president/chief technology officer. Both are new positions, and they are scheduled to begin work on March 17, according to Seattle Children's.
At Scripps, DeFord and Wright reorganized the information systems department, oversaw projects related to electronic medical records and network and data-center infrastructure and implemented information security architecture. -- by Vince Galloro / HITS staff writer
