St. Joseph Health System, a seven-hospital Lexington, Ky.-based subsidiary of Catholic Health Initiatives, named Ken Haynes as president of St. Joseph Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital East and an ambulatory-care center, St. Joseph Jessamine, which is expected to open in December.
Haynes, 39, succeeds Gene Woods, 43, who was promoted to president and chief executive officer of the Lexington, Ky.-based St. Joseph Health System after its formation in September. Haynes is senior vice president and chief operating officer of Catholic Health Initiatives St. Vincent Health System, a four-hospital system in Little Rock, Ark., which also has a rehabilitation facility.
