The North Texas Enterprise Center for Medical Technology, a not-for-profit providing business-development advice and support to fledgling medical-information technology companies and devicemakers, has selected Hubert Zajicek to become director.
Zajicek, 38, is a nephrology specialist who previously served as a faculty member at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. In his new post, Zajicek will be responsible for screening and performing due diligence on companies that apply for support from the not-for-profit. Zajicek will also provide mentoring to developing companies and spearhead the development of North Texas Enterprises new wet/dry laboratory facility.
Zajicek received his medical degree from the University of Vienna School of Medicine and has an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, Dallas. -- by Shawn Rhea / HITS staff writer
