Joanne Sunquist, the chief information officer at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, was elected to serve as chairman of the board of trustees of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives. Sunquist was chosen to serve as chairwoman in 2009 as the successor to current chairman Rod Dykehouse, the CIO at UCLA Medical Sciences, which is composed of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the UCLA Medical Center.
In addition, Tim Stettheimer, senior vice president and CIO of St. Vincent's Health System, Birmingham, Ala., and Linda Reed, vice president of information systems and CIO of Atlantic Health system, Morristown, N.J., were both elected to the CHIME board of trustees. Both began their three-year terms on the board on Jan. 1.
Finally, Elaine Remmlinger, vice president and national service director of Kurt Salmon Associates Health Care Consulting Group, has been elected to the CHIME Foundation board of directors and the CHIME board of trustees.
