Health Level 7 has announced three new members to its board of directors: Dennis Giokas, Kenneth Lunn and Donald Simborg.
Giokas is the chief technology officer for Canada Health Infoway and head of the Solution Architecture Group. He holds a master's degree in computer science from Boston University. Lunn is the director of data standards and products for the National Health Service Connecting for Health in the United Kingdom. He has a Ph.D. in distributed computing from Keele University. Simborg, co-founder of HL7, is an information technology consultant for venture capitalists, start-up healthcare IT companies and provider organizations. He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
