Rick Davis has been named chief operating officer for Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. Davis, 49, joined Alaska Regional in 1996 as director of managed care, and has served as assistant administrator since 1999. He replaces Jordan Herget, who left to become chief operating officer at 289-bed Eastern Idaho Medical Center, Idaho Falls. The 178-bed Alaska Regional is owned by the Hospital Corporation of America. -- by Rebecca Vesely
