The Leapfrog Group has unveiled a new pay-for-performance decision tool and an upgraded incentive and reward database on its Web site.
The P4P Decision Tool, created with funding from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, is a free interactive guide that highlights options available for designing incentive and rewards programs. The tool supplies practical and actionable information for organizations seeking to implement an incentive and reward program, said Jill Berger, vice president of health and welfare plan management and design at Marriott International and chair of the Leapfrog Group, in a written statement.
The incentive and reward Compendium is a free, searchable, sortable database that categorizes and describes financial programs, such as those that reward providers with quality bonuses and nonfinancial programs. It has been available since 2004 and was updated with support from the Commonwealth Fund. To date, 49 programs have submitted entries, and Leapfrog is hoping the updated version will prompt others to submit information about their rewards programs. Both tools can be found on the Leapfrog Web site. -- by Rebecca Vesely
