The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology will offer online seminars to help applicants with the ambulatory and inpatient electronic health-record product certification process.
The first seminar is scheduled for Dec. 17-19. Applicants can register through Dec. 12.
The seminar will discuss 2007 test scripts, criteria for computerized physician-order entry and medication administration records, and should help participants evaluate their product's readiness for CCHIT certification, according to a news release by the Chicago-based organization.
CCHIT also is conducting a public comment period on the first draft of the 2008 certification criteria through Dec. 22. Criteria for review include rules related to: ambulatory, inpatient, network, cardiovascular medicine, child health and emergency department.
