Aspyra has named James "Skip" Helms interim chief operations officer and announced the retirement of its chief executive officer, Steven Besbeck.
Helms, 63, also serves as chief operating officer for Calabasas, Calif.-based Aspyra, a position he has held since 1982. In addition, he was a director of the company from 1987 to 2005. He worked previously as an independent information systems consultant. The company currently is conducting a CEO search to replace Besbeck, who leaves Nov. 30.
