John Festa, chief executive officer of Atlanta-based CareCentric, a provider of technology and services to home healthcare, hospice and other post-acute-care markets, resigned, and Lyle Newkirk, chief financial officer, also stepped down, according to an announcement by the company.
Festas resignation, accepted by the board of directors Monday, is effective immediately, but Newkirk will continue with the company in a consulting capacity until the end of the year, the company said in a news statement.
The board also named Stewart Reed, a board member for five years, to act as interim CEO, and Stephen Shea, a financial consultant familiar with the company, as interim CFO, the company announced. -- by Joseph Conn
