Ecolab, a healthcare-sanitation company based in St. Paul, Minn., has completed its purchase of infection-control company Microtek Medical Holdings, Alpharetta, Ga., for $275 million. The deal, announced in August, paid $6.30 per share for 43.7 million shares of outstanding stock.
Microtek specializes in providing barrier-equipment drapes, patient drapes, fluid control products and operating-room cleanup systems for acute-care and other healthcare facilities. The companys 2006 sales were $142 million, according to an Ecolab news release. -- by Shawn Rhea
