The National Quality Forum board will vote in the next two weeks on whether to approve 118 performance measures, which would bring the total number of NQF-endorsed measures to more than 400.
The measures fall under four categories: healthcare-associated infections; end-stage renal disease; ambulatory care; and emergency department transfer. The measures have moved through the approval process over the past eight to 10 months, said Janet Corrigan, NQF president and chief executive officer.
