Rod Dykehouse, the chief information officer at UCLA Medical Sciences, Los Angeleswhich is composed of the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California at Los Angeles and UCLA Medical Centeris stepping in early as chairman of the board of trustees of the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, or CHIME.
The board on Monday named Dykehouse, who previously had been elected to serve as CHIME chairman for 2008, to replace Ron Strachan, formerly the vice president and CIO at HealthEast Care System, St. Paul, Minn. Strachan stepped down as 2007 CHIME chairman after he switched jobs, taking a position with consultant Kurt Salmon Associates, Atlanta, which was recently acquired by Management Consulting Group of the U.K.
