The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and the Saudi Association for Health Informatics entered into a memorandum of understanding to work jointly to develop education and training programs for the Middle Eastern country.
"I am confident that this collaboration will benefit the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia in its efforts to set up a national e-health program," said Majid Al-Tuwaijri, chairman of the Saudi association, in a news release. The agreement was signed Tuesday.
Stephen Lieber, HIMSS president and chief executive officer, said HIMSS will "assist the SAHI in its efforts to bring world-class educational programming to the region."
