Gregory Vacca has been named president and chief executive officer of WiFiMed Holdings Co., Marietta, Ga., parent company of WiFiMed, a developer of a wireless, mobile, tablet-based electronic healthcare-documentation system.
Vacca is the former president and CEO of JMJ Technologies, Atlanta, a 13-year-old developer of an electronic health-record system, that WiFiMed acquired in an asset sale completed on Oct. 1. Vacca succeeds Jeffrey Simon, who resigned in October, but will act as a consultant for the company.
Vacca has a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of California at Irvine, and a master's degree from the San Francisco Theological Seminary. -- by Joseph Conn / HITS staff writer
