The North Carolina Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance has named Tom Earnhardt president for the 2007-08 term, the consortium announced.
Earnhardt, 47, is senior vice president of Cabarrus Family Medicine, part of Carolinas HealthCare System, which covers 70,000 patients in Cabarrus and Stanly counties. He will lead NCHICA, a not-for-profit health information exchange, in several healthcare IT initiatives and collaborations with state government.
Earnhardt completed his physician assistant training at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta.
