Quovadx, Dallas, a developer of healthcare information technology used by providers, plans, a national laboratory and a prescription drug information exchange, has announced the acquisition of HealthVision, Irvine, Texas, a provider of Web-based hosting services, systems integration, health data exchange and marketing consulting services. HealthVision has been a business partner of Quovadx for five years, and uses the Quovadx Cloverleaf suite of integration tools in its own product offerings, according to a news release. With the acquisition, the combined companies will host 11 million patient records and provide services to more than 2,000 hospitals and 23,000 clinicians, the company said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
