Thomas Kelly Mann has been named chief executive officer of Mediware Information Systems, Lenexa, Kan. He replaces James Burgess, who announced his resignation July 2, the company said.
Mann comes to Mediware following 20 years of service at 3M's healthcare information technology division, where he held a range of senior management positions. He was instrumental in growing the 3M division's client base to more than 4,000 healthcare organizations worldwide.
Mediware develops blood and medication management software systems to facilities worldwide. The company expects Mann will help increase its profile and products in the healthcare market. -- by Jean DerGurahian/ HITS staff writer
