Home-health company Amedisys has closed on the bulk of a deal announced in August to acquire IntegriCares 19 locations for $68 million.
Mansfield, Ohio-based IntegriCares home-health and hospice assets are spread among nine states. Outstanding need for certificate-of-need approval in West Virginia will delay closing on the agencies there until some time later this quarter, according to an Amedisys news release.
Baton Rouge, La.-based Amedisys earned $38 million off revenue of $541 million in the year ended Dec. 31, operating 261 agencies and 14 hospices. The IntegriCare assets arent expected to add to earnings in 2007 because of transaction costs and the late closing in West Virginia, Amedisys noted in the release. -- by Gregg Blesch
