Perot Systems Corp., Plano, Texas, will acquire healthcare information-technology provider JJWild in an $89 million deal to enhance the companys Meditech Healthcare Information System service offerings.
All JJWild employees will join Perot, and the addition of those application consultants and technology specialists will allow the company to broaden its services from technology design and implementation to hosting and support of Meditech applications. Meditech, Westwood, Mass., provides integrated software solutions that aim to improve quality of care. JJWild offers IT solutions and consulting for healthcare facilities using the Meditech system.
JJWilds position in the healthcare market deepens our expertise with the clinical and financial information system used by more than 2,000 hospitals in the U.S., Canada and other international markets, said Peter Altabef, Perots chief executive officer, in a news release.
Perot expects the Canton, Mass.-based company to report 2007 revenue between $80 million and $90 million, of which $30 million will be consolidated over the rest of the year, including $8 million for the third quarter. -- by Jean DerGurahian
