Milwaukee-based medical imaging software developer Merge Technologies canceled its conference call scheduled this morning with financial analysts, and did not release a news statement set for after the market close Wednesday on its current quarterly and six-month financial statements ended June 30, the company said in a news release.
The company said that it expects to hold such a call promptly after it reports second-quarter results.
No explanation was provided in the release. Phone calls to Merge were not returned by deadline.
In July 2006, Merge Healthcare announced it had been given a deadline by the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel to file its year-end and two quarterly financial reports for 2005 or risk being de-listed.
Merge acquired Cedara Software Corp., Mississauga, Ontario, in June 2005, and in July 2006 announced that its statements for quarters ended June 30, 2005, and Sept. 30, 2005, "should no longer be relied upon due to certain material errors."
