I think that everyone has forgotten the middle-class persons who work two jobs to make ends meet, to pay taxes, insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. We fund everyone but ourselves. Someone needs to look at giving the middle class a break from having to pay for the rich and the poor. I feel if you get assistance from the government, then you also need to work to pay it back. The middle class cannot go on paying for everyone else. Placing taxes on tobacco will not help because from where I am looking, more and more people are quitting, and where will that leave all these funds that tobacco pays for and the farmers? Someone is not thinking about all the variables. Someone needs to regroup.
