Craig Gravina has been appointed to the newly created position of chief technology officer at Premise Corp., a Farmington, Conn.-based provider of clinical software.
Gravina, 35, has founded three startup companies, facilitated successful acquisitions and then remained in leadership posts with the acquiring companies, a Premise news release said. Most recently, Gravina served as vice president of advanced technology and intellectual property for Bright Things, a developer of games and interactive educational products based in London and Palo Alto, Calif.
Premise, which specializes in systems for bed management, transport and decision support, recently completed a round of Series B financing that raised $6.3 million. The money will be used for product development, market expansion and infrastructure expansionincluding the hiring of new employees. In addition to hiring Gravina, the company also hired a new vice president of sales and a vice president of client services and training earlier this year. -- by Andis Robeznieks / HITS staff writer
