The radiology solutions company NightHawk Radiology Holdings, Coeur d Alene, Idaho, announced today its acquisition of Midwest Physicians Services, a radiology revenue-cycle and human-resources management group, and Emergency Radiology Services, an off-hours teleradiology service.
Both companies were purchased from St. Paul (Minn.) Radiology for $62.5 million in cash.
The acquisition of Midwest Physicians Services, which will now operate under the name NightHawk Business Services, will add a new line of radiology business services to NightHawks holdings, which already include professional radiology and clinical-workflow technology services. This offering allows us to expand our service offerings and is consistent with our mission to offer radiology group customers a complete range of solutions to fulfill their needs, said NightHawk Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Paul Berger. -- by Shawn Rhea
