In response to Todd Sloane's editorial "Scrap the national IT plan":
Finally, somebody has the courage to point out the obviousthe national information technology system was DOA.
There are partial solutions, as you point out. Here are two more:
- I would be willing to have my EMR on a chip embedded in my body.
- Since more than 50% of medical errors are preventable by systems on the market today, why not eliminate them and save enough money to pay for universal health insurance?
