Laurie Hebert has been named director of cancer registry services at Care Communications, a Chicago-based provider of coding and health information management staffing services and consulting.
Hebert is the past president of the National Cancer Registrars Association and the Louisiana Cancer Registrars Association and is the current president-elect of the Southeast Louisiana Health Information Management Association. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology and health information management from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
At Care Communications, Hebert will be responsible for overseeing cancer registry consultants, client relationships, sales of cancer registry services and oversight of projects that require cancer registry data. -- by Joseph Conn / HITS staff writer
