Gov. Mitch Daniels signed legislation that increases SCHIP eligibility for children with family incomes up to 300% of the federal poverty level, expands coverage to uninsured adults with incomes up to 200% of the federal poverty level using new health savings accounts. The measure is financed by a 44 cent per pack tax increase on cigarettes.
