Robert Erra was named president of Clark Consultings Healthcare Group, Minneapolis, effective July 1.
The groups current president, F. Kenneth Ackerman Jr., will continue to work full-time as its chairman.
Erra, 64, has been president of the Management Science Associates division of the healthcare group since 2003. He joined the organization in 1993 and served as managing director of its physician services group for 10 years. Prior to that he served as chief operating officer and member of the board of governors at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, Calif.
Ackerman, 68, will focus on business development, strategic issues and governance-related consulting assignments including succession planning in his new role as chairman. He joined the healthcare group in 2001 and has been its president since 2002. He began his career at Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, and later joined Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pa., where he served as president.
