Swati Abbott has been promoted to president of MEDai, an Orlando, Fla.-based health information technology company formerly known as Medical Artificial Intelligence. MEDai solutions serve payers and care-management organizations by identifying cost drivers for their high-risk patient population, forecasting future health plan costs and improving outcomes.
Abbott, 43, previously held the title of senior vice president. She replaces Steve Epstein, who will retain his title of chief executive officer and his position as chairman of the board. Epstein, 57, co-founded the company in 1988. -- by Andis Robeznieks / HITS staff writer
