MedCath Corp., Charlotte, N.C., said it has hired a new general counsel and also an executive to lead its quality and compliance efforts.
Blair Todt was named the companys vice president and general counsel. Todt was associate general counsel at BearingPoint, McLean, Va., a consulting firm, where he focused on the healthcare and public service practice groups. Prior to serving at BearingPoint, Todt was a partner in the law firm of Carter, Conboy, Case, Blackmore, Maloney & Laird.
Kevin Andrews will fill the newly created position of vice president of quality and clinical process improvement. For the past four years, Andrews has been director of quality management and performance improvement for the acute-care hospital division of Universal Health Services, King of Prussia, Pa. Andrews has worked in quality management and clinical process improvement positions in much of his 26-year career, MedCath said in a news release.
