Northrop Grumman Corp., an integrator of advanced health solutions based in McLean, Va., has named Harry Greenspun, M.D., chief medical officer within the company's information technology sector. His new role will help Northrop Grumman increase its growing presence in the healthcare field. "Dr. Greenspun will provide our customers with added expertise in the fast-growing health IT field," says Linda Mills, president of Northrop Grumman's Civilian Agencies group. Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Greenspun, 42, served as a consultant to numerous health systems, pharmaceutical companies and the health IT industry. He also served as chief resident in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at 893-bed John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. "His diverse experience in clinical and executive environments gives him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in this market," Mills says.
