Michael Gallagher has been named chief executive officer of MedeFinance, Emeryville, Calif., a financial software developer for healthcare payers and providers, the East Bay Business Times has reported. Gallagher has served on the board of directors of MedeFinance since 2004, most recently as vice chairman. Gallagher replaces company founder James Quist, board chairman. Quist will remain with the company. MedeFinance also named Brian Robertson as chief operating officer and Sal De Trane as chief administration officer. -- by Joseph Conn / HITS staff writer
