Northeast Georgia Health System, Gainesville, won state certificate-of-need approval to build a $209 million, 100-bed hospital in the Braselton, Ga.-area, said system spokeswoman Melissa Tymchuk.
The proposed hospital and a $15 million to $17 million medical office building will be built on a 119-acre campus. Hospital construction is expected to be complete by 2011 or 2012.
The medical office building construction, which includes an additional $7.2 million in road and sanitation projects, is expected to be finished by the summer of 2008. -- by Melanie Evans
