LifePoint Hospitals, Brentwood, Tenn., said that Michael Culotta has resigned as its chief financial officer, a position he has held since November 2001. The company did not say why Culotta was leaving. A LifePoint spokeswoman did not respond to requests for comment.
Culotta joined LifePoint after 25 years, including 12 as a partner, with accounting firm Ernst & Young.
The Nashville office of Ernst & Young has done work for many of the largest healthcare services companies based in the Nashville area, including HCA, Ardent Health Services, Iasis Healthcare, Vanguard Health Systems and Psychiatric Solutions. -- by Vince Galloro
