Radiation Therapy Services, Fort Myers, Fla., has named David Watson as chief financial officer to succeed David Koeninger, who announced his retirement last year.
Watson, 41, is currently the treasurer and vice president of finance at the GEO Group, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based company that offers management services to correctional, detention and residential treatment facilities around the world.
The company also offers complimentary services in the areas of design, construction and finance. In his role at the GEO Group, Watson is responsible for all merger-and-acquisition activities, treasury and tax management. He has been with the company since 1994. Watson will join Radiation Therapy Services in early April; Koeninger will remain CFO and assist the transition process through June 30.
Koeninger will also stay with the company on a consultant basis until June 2008. Radiation Therapy Serviceswhich operates radiation therapy centers primarily under the name 21st Century Oncologyprovides services to cancer patients at 77 treatment centers in 16 states. -- by Jessica Zigmond
